Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)

Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork is the highest voluntary credential a massage therapist can obtain within the profession, well above entry level state licensure requirements. Board Certified Therapists have gone far above standard educational and work experience requirements, with a dedicated and lifelong commitment  to continuing education, and live up to higher standards and ethics in alignment with The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).

Board Certification requires a minimum of 750 hours of education, the completion of substantial professional, hands-on work experience, passing the Board Certification Exam and background check, and upholding NCBTMB's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.  By meeting all BCETMB requirements, Board Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB) Therapists demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills, a commitment to ongoing education, and to professional excellence, and proudly wear the BCTMB credential.
